The MURS Alert Probe Sensor is a long range wireless driveway alarm that will detect vehicles only. The MURS Alert Probe Sensor combines the features of the vehicle sensor drive alert with our MURS Alert technology. The MURS Probe is very reliable and will not give false signals from large animals or other sources.
When the MURS Alert detects a vehicle it will send an alert signal to either the MURS Base and Hand Held radios. The alert signal will be in spoken English (EX: "Alert Zone One") The four alert messages are easily selected at the transmitter so that up to four different zones can be monitored simultaneously.
The MURS Alert Probe Sensor transmitter has 5 channels and 38 CTCSS/PL tones to choose from and are easily selectable by the user. The unit operates on 6 AA alkaline batteries. The battery life should be about six months under most conditions. The probe is connected to the transmitter box with 50 feet of direct burial cable. This will allow for a covert installation for the detection of vehicular traffic.
The MAPS MURS transmitter's range back to the hand held or base station radios depends upon terrain. An external antenna can be attached to the unit to increase its range if needed. Uses include monitoring driveway/roadway traffic, remote buildings and equipment, etc.
These MAPS units send alerts to both the MURS Base and Hand Held radios. MAPS and MAT units can be used in the same system allowing for flexibility of system design.
