This two way radio operates on all five MURS frequencies and all 38 CTCSS/PL tones (also known as privacy codes). Can be used with other MURS Base or MURS Hand Held radios for reliable two way communications. Will receive alerts transmitted from the MAT MURS Alert Transmitter and MAPS MURS Alert Probe Sensor.

Here are a few common uses:

• Outdoor activities - Camping, hiking, fishing, boating, biking, traveling
  
• Job site - landscaping, construction, farming, parking attendants
  
• Events - fairs, carnivals, concerts, school field trips
  
• Security - business and home

The 19.5" telescoping antenna is removable and has a BNC connector that allows you to easily attach an external antenna such as from Centerfire Antenna (they also offer a ready to use coax assembly with the proper connectors) to extend your communications range.

Powered by an 12 VDC AC adapter. These radios are compatible with all other MURS radios using narrow band. (NOTE: All 5 MURS frequencies are narrow band in this model.) Radios do not require a license and can be used for personal, business, or recreational communications. Great to use as a long range wireless intercom with other MURS base or hand held radios!
