This unit operates on all five MURS frequencies and all 38 CTCSS/PL tones (also known as privacy codes). Can be used with other MURS Base or MURS Hand Held radios for reliable two way communications. Will receive alerts transmitted from the MAT MURS Alert Transmitter and MAPS MURS Alert Probe Sensor.

Here are a few common uses:

• Outdoor activities - Camping, hiking, fishing, boating, biking, traveling
  
• Job site - landscaping, construction, farming, parking attendants
  
• Events - fairs, carnivals, concerts, school field trips
  
• Security - business and home

Includes 6 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries and wall charger. Also includes a free earbud mic. These radios are compatible with all other MURS radios using narrow band. (NOTE: All 5 MURS frequencies are narrow band in this model.) Radios do not require a license and can be used for personal, business, or recreational communications. Great to use as a long range wireless intercom with other MURS base or hand held radios!
